ARON SCHULTZ WIEBE

January 13, 1931 - December 19, 2025

Aron Wiebe was born on January 13, 1931 to Peter F. and Helena Wiebe. He passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Menno Home for the Aged, Grunthal, MB.

Aron was the second youngest of ten children and grew up on the family farm near Niverville. As a young man he bought a small bulldozer to do work on the farm. This led to owning bigger machines and doing many years of landscaping work for farmers.

Aron loved his accordion and played many energetic tunes. At the age of 24 he committed his life to Christ and became involved in outreach and in discipling others. He was always cheerful and ready with good stories to tell. To his nieces and nephews he was affectionately known as “Uncle Arnie.”

Aron lived in the MacGregor area for a few years and then in Grunthal where he was groundskeeper at the Burnbrae Farm (formerly Hesther Farm) for 33 years. During that time he became close friends with Dennis and Marge Hiebert who were the farm managers. They considered him family and he became “Gramps” to their four children. In the last years of his life Aron lived in the town of Grunthal and at Menno Home.

Aron was predeceased by his parents and eight siblings and their spouses: Pete (Anne), Jake (Marge), Margaret (Abe Thiessen), Helen (Pete Hiebert), Mary (who passed away in August 2025), Susan (Victor Hiebert), Elsie (Abe Hiebert) and Kay (Frank Neufeld).

Aron will be missed by his brother David Wiebe of Niverville, many nieces and nephews, as well as Dennis and Marge Hiebert and their children, Everett, Abby, Carter and Kirsten.

The family is grateful for the excellent care given to him by the staff of Menno Home in Grunthal.

The funeral service for Aron will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.

The interment will take place at Hespeler Cemetery, Niverville, MB.
